ALL NATIONS – VOLLEYBALL TESTIMONIALS

On behalf of the London Volleyball Association I would say that everyone welcomes this tournament.

It is a great event that allows people who normal mingle with the international population of London, to actually stand up for their country or area of origin and to play against other similar groups. As a consequence we have people who are normally team mates competing against each other, and even people who have a natural competitive enmity to actually play alongside those who at home they long to compete against and defeat.

It is a wonderful. friendly event, despite being sporting and competitive. The styles of play of the national groups shines through, and the spectators have as much enjoyment as the players.

I would recommend it to players, officials and fans.

Player's View:

As a player, the tournament puts you with a group of players that you would not usually play with so again, this is not about the ability of one or two players, but the ability of the group to play well together - Danny

It was very well planned and organised. Evidently you could see that a lot of players enjoyed themselves. - Ed

Coaches View:

The tournament is a real challenge for any coach. Not only do you have to select a squad from a group you do not know, but you have to involve everyone you select.

Coaches have a real challenge as they have to develop the skill level of players over a very short period of time and then try to bring the group together into becoming a TEAM. So all these things make up a real challenge for any coach, but if you are a coach, these are the challenges you want.

This is a fun for all tournament (although at the semi and final stages it gets a little more serious). It brings the London Volleyball community together which is a great thing and every thing should be done to facility it so it continues to run. - Danny
